Value Stream Manager

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Value Stream Manager at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois. 

The Value Stream Manager is the architect of the value stream, identifying value as defined from the customer's perspective and leading the effort to achieve an ever-shortening, value-creating flow. The Value Stream Manager focuses the organization on aligning activities and resources around value creation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Lead, coach, develop and motivate to ensure proper training, resources, and supplies are managed appropriately throughout the value stream to attain strategic objectives.
• Analyze value stream's performance measurements and communicate opportunities to eliminate barriers, improve production flow, and implement continuous improvement projects.
• Communicate clear expectations to leadership through policy deployment.
• Identify and eliminate waste and operation problems throughout the value stream to achieve optimal sales and profit growth. 
• Manages performance and development of leadership within the value stream.
• Ensures proper training and cross training for new and existing employees.
• Model the Company's values of respect of people and family, integrity, lead with humility, continuous improvement, and enterprise alignment.  Demonstrate the highest ethical standards and set the expectation and hold accountability throughout value stream.  

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS degree with emphasis in a manufacturing discipline/technical field desired
• Minimum of seven years progressive experience with quality and lean management in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated leadership experience including profit and loss responsibilities Solid manufacturing foundation with specific lean tools (5S, facilitation of Kaizen events, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
• Solid background in project management and training
• Six Sigma and Lean certifications preferred.
• Ability to lead with humility and respect every individual
• Ability to embrace a culture of empowering employees, innovation and risk taking, and creating value for the customer.
