Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an experience Beauty Educator to fill the role of USA Education Development Manager at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The USA Education Development Manager for Professional is responsible for managing education programs within the USA for both Pro hair and Pro pets. They are also responsible for facilitating training programs for their region in both divisions. This role will manage and ensure the entire end-to-end learning and development and will be responsible for all aspects of the training life cycle - needs assessment, class design, curriculum development, implementation/facilitation, and evaluation along with the global team and monitor it on a regional level.

This role must be comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization and has experience delivering solutions for a global organization. This role requires strong skill set in development of programs and materials on a regional and global level. The USA Education Development Leader for Professional Division USA will report directly to the Global Director of Education with a dotted line to the USA Director of Sales.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Leads the USA education strategy and execution of key education events and classes.
  • Responsible for facilitating product knowledge training and on boarding for new educators and corporate team members within USA. Determine who is the best fit as a new educator through an interview process alongside the Global Director of Education.
  • Monthly calls with USA team on new product launches and areas of focus for education.
  • Work in conjunction with Global Director of Education to develop education collateral and technical materials to support new programs and product launches within the USA.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of the education programs being executed in USA and provide feedback and recommendation to the Global Director of Education.
  • Ensure colleterial is consistent across the globe but fits USA needs.
  • Facilitate certification trainings with educators in USA along with Global Director of Education.
  • Be the voice on the Global Team for the USA on new product ideation, product launches, and claims needed for new and existing tools.
  • Monitor and track USA activity and give ROI on education programs. Give Global Director of Education feedback and recommendations.
  • Determine current and future education needs in field to help push sales. Do visits with sales to their shops/salons to get their input on what they are looking for in education and tools.
  • Mentor and develop educators in the USA. Be the contact for educators when they need virtual training, have questions, or want coach https://wahl.aaimtrack.com/internaljobs/994686.htmling. Provide leadership to a team of contracted professionals that includes coaching, development, and strategic direction.
  • Research competitive education in the USA and give feedback quarterly on what is happening in the industry. Give Global team feedback, insights, and suggestions.
  • Help Global Director of Education develop classes on topics including presentation skills, public speaking, teaching with impact, clipper cutting, and unique clipper techniques and deliver trainings to our global team of educators.
  • Manage Global Academy in Chicago. Manage website, promotions, and classes.
  • Manage education team at USA shows and support show manager. Create agendas and show flows along with ensuring educators know the products being sold a show.
  • Work with Global Digital Content Manager on new content and live streaming programs that host a USA educator.
  • Work with website team to ensure regional education websites are up to date and current.
  • Work with USA sales team to determine what they need to get sales. Be proactive in coming up with solutions to support the sales team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in the haircare industry
  • Expert knowledge of developing content and trainings for Pro side of the business
  • Hair Stylist/Barber a plus
  • Experience delivering best in class education materials & trainings
  • Experience creating and executing facilitation guides and training programs
  • Experience creating coaching presentation skills and public speaking
  • High level facilitation skills - experienced presenter and trainer
  • Experience evaluating technical skills
  • Experience creating step-by-step technical guides; developing content to various audiences in both live and digital delivery formats
  • Experience creating content for education events & classes
  • Experience leading barbers/stylists and managing remotely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confidence when addressing Barbers/ Stylists
  • Able to travel up to 25%
