Talent Acquisition Specialist

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a passionate, self-starter for our expanding Talent Acquisition team at our headquarters in Sterling, IL.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the Director of Human Resources. This role is highly visible within the company having accountability for salaried professional recruitment and on-boarding.   

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop relationships with hiring managers across the organization to understand position requirements, set expectations and maintain communication throughout the recruitment process.
  • Take a strategic approach to sourcing candidates through job postings, social media, networking and niche resources that meet the business needs and fit the Wahl culture. Identify opportunities and implement actions to improve sourcing candidates.
  • Develop position profiles and job postings that are informative and aligned with our employer brand.
  • Review resumes, conduct phone screen, maintain applicant tracking, and recommend viable candidates to the hiring manager for further consideration.
  • Coordinate onsite interviews, facilitate the candidate interview feedback sessions, conduct reference checks, and coordinate pre-hire assessments.
  • Collaborate effectively with hiring managers to expedite the talent selection and offer process
  • Manage university/college recruitment finding opportunities to further develop relationships with target schools
  • Manage all candidate communication and follow up to ensure a best in class candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Develop and manage a robust on-boarding process working in collaboration cross functionally to ensure an effective new hire transition
  • Stay up to date on trends and implement best practices related to recruitment and talent management
  • Track and monitor key recruitment metrics to drive improved recruitment performance
  • Assist in other projects related to talent acquisition as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, HR, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience recruiting professional roles required
  • Previous experience developing content for social media platforms such LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions that are in alignment with the overall company strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment required
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to create sourcing and on-boarding methods
  • An appreciation and respect for the diversity of all individuals in the workplace along with modeling the Company's values of integrity, teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
