Supply Chain Planner Intern

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Supply Chain Planner Intern at our offices in Sterling, Illinois.

This internship will support the end-to-end Global Supply Chain process. During their time at Wahl, the intern will follow a rotation, allowing for exposure to functions such as data analytics, demand planning, supply planning, intercompany purchasing, master scheduling, and S&OP. This will support cross-functional collaboration with other teams, including business leaders, sales, marketing, finance, operations, sourcing, and logistics. The role will provide broad insight into how the supply chain functions and interacts with the rest of the organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Responsible for assisting in standard processes and analytics that drive consistency and accuracy in Demand Planning, Master Production Scheduling, Inventory Productivity, Supply Chain efficiency, Intercompany Replenishment Buying, and the S&OP process
• Review key Supply Chain KIPs to understand current state
• Collaborates cross-functionally with Business Leaders, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Sourcing, and Logistics to ensure we are "One Wahl"
• Uses an innovative mind-set to continuously improve processes, analyze, problem solve, and come forward with proposals
• Thinks systemically to ensure end-to-end business strategy alignment
• Promote quality-oriented mindset around data integrity, demand variance, and supply chain strategy & results

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, Operations Management, or related field of study
• Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
• Proficient software skills (e.g.: Microsoft excel)
• Interest in Supply Chain concepts including:
  • Demand Planning
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Master Data Management
  • Inventory Strategy and Management
  • Production Scheduling
  • Procurement
• Ability to model the Company's values of teamwork, continuous improvement, and respect for every individual
