Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Supply Chain Intern at our North America manufacturing plant in Sterling, Illinois.
MUST be able to commute to and from Sterling, IL to work on-site.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Project- Distribution Warehouse Slotting
- General slotting strategy and build a process to sustain
- Analysis on "half bays" on label line how many do we need
- Model what it would look like to energize the third floor of the label line which products (international, professional)
Other- Supply Chain 101
- Shadow each functional area within Supply Chain:
- Demand Planning
- Supply Planning
- Distribution Operations (Receiving, Material Warehouse, Shipping)
- Topics to cover:
- General overview of functional area and the role it serves in the overall E2E supply chain
- Specifics to learn:
- Planning
- Developing a Demand Forecast
- Creating a Supply Plan
- Attending a Monthly S&OP meeting to grasp importance of all roles in servicing our customer
- Execution
- Understanding OTIF and addressing the gaps
- Importance of distribution operations & key measures of success
- Planning
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited university
- Supply Chain Major preferred
- Ability to commute to and from Sterling, IL.
