Sourcing Analyst

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Sourcing Analyst at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining and distributing key reports to sourcing leadership while providing support in the areas of supplier compliance, global purchasing projects, ERP implementation, audits, document library maintenance, RFI's and continuous process improvement. This position reports directly to the Director of North America Sourcing.  There are no direct reports to this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The Sourcing Analyst will assist in the development of the supplier handbook, which will contain information regarding the requirements for doing business with Wahl. Issues RFI's to prospective suppliers as part of the supplier vetting/RFP process. Maintains supplier report cards, such as on-time delivery, in full, quality, etc.
• On a bi-weekly basis develops reports to use in maintaining graphs and charts utilized in Gemba reporting.  Puts market data into a standard format, for multiple categories of spend, that will provide important market trend analytics and benchmarking.
• This position tracks inventory of parts and finished goods at suppliers for obsolescence.  Contacts sales and marketing to understand their plans on utilizing the obsolete inventory and reports same to sourcing leadership.  Follows-up as necessary.
• Gathers information on miscellaneous categories of spend for review by sourcing leadership (annual volumes, current pricing, price increase/decrease history, contacts etc) and documents in spreadsheet form.
• The Sourcing Analyst assists with global purchasing team meetings by coordinating meeting details as needed.  Assists with supplier audits as necessary and assists marketing by expediting samples from suppliers. 
• This position is responsible for producing additional reports such as monthly commodity tracking, global contract calendar, global cost savings, global finished goods library, cost variance, department expense reporting, quality issues by value stream, annual supplier spend summaries, cost variances, issue budget guidance letters to suppliers, etc.
• Works with Sourcing Manager on various freight consolidation projects and MRO sourcing to improve the process and provide cost savings based on the understanding of company values.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Finance or related field
• 3 -5 years relevant experience in Supply Chain/Procurement
• Excellent software skills emphasis on Microsoft Office (Excel), Business Objects, enterprise systems
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and problem-solving techniques
• Microsoft Dynamics/D 365/AX system experience a plus
• Must have strong strategic, problem solving ability with a positive attitude and the ability to manage change. Receptive to training and mentorship.
• Must be able to build collaborative relationships with suppliers and co-workers
• Must be detailed oriented, self-starter and be able to multi-task
• Ability to travel as required by position.
