Senior Production Designer, Consumer Graphics - Hybrid Position

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Senior Production Designer, Consumer Graphics at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Senior Production Designer is responsible to provide Senior Designers the highest quality of assets and development of process and software used by production designers within the group. This position reports directly to the Creative Services Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Team consists of a Senior Production Designer and all production designers who work with and provide assets to Senior Designers. With specialized software and processes set in place by Senior Production Designer, there will be a higher level of quality output of assets generated with global usage.
• Senior Production Designer will be responsible for but not limited to continuous improvement of processes and software used in creation of highest quality of assets. Also improve the tools used by Production Designers, such as shortcuts, eyedrops, and online asset storage systems.
• Aid Senior Designers and Product Managers on larger projects like 3D packaging renderings used individually or as part of a larger planogram request with the help from Production Designers to complete.
• Work with Creative Services Manager to support Senior Designers with WebCenter (online cloud storage of Native Art) and usage of Media beacon to access supporting assets.
• Senior Production Designer receives work, decided upon by either Senior Designers or Creative Services Manager, for improvements to processes and or assets and variations that are needed. In some cases, may work directly with product managers. Some of the work will need to be reviewed by Senior Designer for consistency.
• The Senior Production Designer will provide an update to the Creative Service Manager on all current open projects weekly. The meeting is also to collaborate processes and best usage of software of current and future projects.
• Senior Production Designer will perform some of the duties of the Production Designers for higher project requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of Associates degree and four or more years of experience in graphic design related field or Bachelor's in graphic design/related field preferred with two or more years of experience in graphic design related field.
• Must possess good organizational, communication, troubleshooting skills.
• Must have knowledge and ability to use a Macintosh computer and run specified graphic software, i.e. Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, KeyShot, Rhino 3D online digital asset management (WebCenter & Media Beacon)
• Must have critical thinking skills to improve use of software and digital tools processes.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to model the company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
