Senior Graphic Designer

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and team-oriented individual to fill the role of Senior Graphic Designer at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

Under the direction of the Marketing Manager, the Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for designing and producing visual aids for packaging, promotional material, presentations, and images for websites and social media pages.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Sets campaign strategy and execution schedule along with Marketing Manager.
• Establishes and maintains the highest possible standards of reproduction for all interactive/web, print, collateral materials produced
• Becomes brand champion
• Holds general team and conducts annual performance reviews for department subordinates
• Along with Product Managers, keeps customers informed by reviewing illustrative material for presentation.
• Maintains a current list of available freelance artists, photographers and other contributory talent.
• Directs photographers and talent at photo sessions.
• Develops designs and updates for all Pro-Animal packaging
• Develops designs and updates for all Pro-Animal promotional materials
• Develops designs and updates for all Pro-Animal for presentations
• Demonstrates a higher technical capability and ability to work on more complex projects.
• Develop and maintain an open communication to the printing vendors Wahl Clipper has accounts with including subsidiaries.
• Creates visual aids for social media sites
• Work with Keyshot software when creating designs
• Use 3D animation when creating designs
• Creates logos
• Travels to tradeshows and seminars as necessary
• Create illustrations when requested
• Engages in any personal development necessary to stay current in advertising techniques and standards, and research activity required to become more familiar with clients' businesses
• Meets established deadlines or provides reasonable notice to the production department of special circumstances requiring deadline extension.
• Liaises with production staff in assigning overtime necessary to meet any overload demand.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree
• 10 years of equivalent experience required
• Knowledge of Creative Suite Programs
• i.e. Photoshop and Illustrator
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
• Web design knowledge
• Strong computer/communication skills
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork and continuous improvement
