Senior Demand Planner

This position is responsible for all demand driven activities associated with customers and product for a specific Sales & Marketing team.

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyze historical demand and interact with Sales & Marketing to understand future demand drivers
• Provide Sales & Marketing with focused reporting to drive monthly dialogue
• Create a baseline, statistical forecast using multiple sources of data
• Track weekly and monthly forecast error to identify contributing factors
• Support Sales & Marketing with product transitions by providing analytics for successful implementation
• Perform SKU productivity analysis to support Sales & Marketing assortment portfolio decisions and drive assortment rationalization discussions
• Partner with Sales & Marketing to align on demand targets for aggregate and item level plans for monthly S&OP process
• Build inventory strategies to achieve customer on-time delivery and customer lead time targets and obtain alignment with Sales & Marketing and Operations
• Establish relationship with key accounts to develop strong understanding of market (POS) demand drivers
• Effectively lead, coach and mentor

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

• BS in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field of study required
• 5 10 years of Demand Planning experience
• Strong communication, presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills
• Superior analytical ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces
• Demonstrated experience applying inventory management principles and continuous improvement methods to complex business problems
• Experience in SAP, JDA or equivalent replenishment planning system
• Excellent software skills emphasis on Microsoft Office (Excel), Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI, enterprise systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and inspire people to enable change and continuous improvements
