This position will assist the prototype team, partnering with the R&D engineers for our prototype part needs and product testing, improve R&D prototyping processes, and be involved in product and process innovation as well. This position reports to the Sr. R&D Engineer and has no direct reports.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Associates Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or equivalent experience of 5 years minimum.
• Strong hands-on skill and can use shop equipment to machine parts.
• Strong Leadership skills.
• Strong aptitude for trying new things.
• CAD/CAM skills preferred, Unigraphics skills preferred.
• Good understanding of metal and plastic part designs and manufacturing processes.
• Basic understanding of electricity and electronic components.
• Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written presentation.
• Working knowledge of computer programs including MS Office
