Production Control Analyst II

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Production Control Analyst II.

This position is responsible for developing and coordinating manufacturing efficiency processes to achieve total customer satisfaction and financial objectives. The Production Control Analyst II focuses on solving complex material flow and production efficiency situations to meet customer needs. The Production Control Analyst II unifies cross functional partners around a common vision and works together to achieve desired outcomes. The Production Control Analyst II role participates in complex and higher variation areas of responsibility that have greater impact in outcomes within the production lines. The scope requires advanced understanding to drive continuous improvements within the planning cadences. This work requires independent decision making and the ability to manage multiple priorities to achieve desired results. The Production Control Analyst II reports to the Lead Material Planner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Builds strong relationships across the company to leverage ideas, capabilities and processes while instilling energy and enthusiasm to achieve company goals.
  • Identifies value-added processes to maximize performance and productivity. Integrates and streamlines processes throughout the supply chain.
  • Interacts with multiple areas inside and outside of the organization to create a sense of urgency to improve production rates.
  • Evaluates and analyzes production capability and capacity plans, processes, and products; recommends improvements; and implements approved changes
  • Provides guidance and shares knowledge with more junior analysts.
  • Applies advanced knowledge of Master Planning in D365 to enhance system utilization and improve critical input management to achieve quality material planning signals.
  • Drives daily production efficiencies by releasing and sequencing production orders based on material and capacity availability to achieve customer fill rate objectives.
  • Applies supply chain knowledge and experience to identify and improve production efficiency processes.
  • Monitors current business challenges to find solutions for unexpected situations and recommends changes or creates new production processes to expedite the flow of materials. Overcomes obstacles to drive initiatives and actions to closure.
  • Participates in complex situations that are elevated out of routine parameters.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to keep materials flowing efficiently within our processes.
  • Evaluates and analyzes capability and capacity plans, processes, and products; recommends improvements; and implements approved changes.
  • Develops shop schedules and capacity plans for work centers, machines, and tools

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements of customers and their manufacturing partners and experience bringing strategic value through efficiency improvement while promoting the customer needs.
  • Advanced manufacturing systems/planning knowledge- ERP experience. Microsoft D365 Dynamics knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
  • Advanced PC user- Must be able to use software packages including: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong foundation in customer fulfillment and inventory management concepts
  • Understanding of manufacturing end to end processes
  • Must understand and embrace the Wahl values and culture
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a production control, material management, supply chain analysis, or similar role. Or, an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • APICS (CPIM/CIRM/CSCP) certification preferred or completed within 24 months in position
