Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Product Marketing Coordinator located at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.
The Marketing Product Coordinator assists in the coordination, and implementation of various marketing projects including, but not limited to POS analysis, sample requests, cost analysis, EOL communications and execution planning, market research, competitive analysis, product change executions and supporting new item set-up from conception to launch.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Tracks product line sales and costs by analyzing and entering sales, expense, and new business data.
- Prepares marketing and product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.
- Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, and new product information as needed.
- Organizes projects using project management software, excel and other software daily and as needed, routinely keeping all stakeholders informed on project developments.
- Conducts market research on competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases.
- Plans meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating contact directories.
- Seeks to continually identify best practices and improve upon existing processes for the team and the department.
- Assists in developing business strategies, manages the Product Change Notification process, arranges certifies samples, reviews bills of material, instructions books and other sales promotion items.
- This position expedites packaging development and does preparation and tear down work for sales meetings.
- Reviews monthly and coordinates updates of copy and graphics to Salsify PIM/DAM system.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (engineering, graphics, sales, and more) to bring projects to completion, verify product specifications, and to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Works on special projects as assigned by their supervisor and other Sr. Managers in the organization.
- Internally this position is in contact with other employees of Consumer Sales and Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering Service, Ops and Logistics. External contacts are trade show, packaging, advertising agencies and customers.
- The effectiveness of the Marketing Product Coordinator is measured by how effective the Company is in achieving True North within established budgets.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Track the implementation of PRF's and PCN's (Bills of Material).
- Reserves part numbers and follow through on their implementation.
- Tracks packaging, samples to and from department.
- Assists sales with paperwork and account specific procedure tracking.
- Analyzes market data as required.
- Maintains monthly BOMs.
- Assist with presentations, research, packaging, NPD, and certified samples.
- Communicates with packaging suppliers and other 3rd party vendors.
- Assists in organizing, planning, and managing trade shows and sales meetings.
- Reviews packaging copy, such as UPC, part numbers, spelling, etc.
- Updates, reviews and ensures consistency of spec sheets, catalog sheets, competitive market analysis, and price lists.
- Coordinates the maintenance of close out inventory.
- Input specs into PIM/DAM system
- Completes special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor to achieve corporate sales and profit objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Programs, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to prioritize and balance stakeholder needs
- Strong analytical skills
