The Product Manager- LATAM is responsible for defining, positioning, pricing, and the promotion of WAHL Products along with managing the market adoption and product life cycles. This position is "the voice of the customer" and "owns" the product and is ultimately responsible for its overall success.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Identify opportunities, through research and competitive benchmarking, to create suggestions and new product ideas to drive a whole product offering and differentiated channel offering.
  2. Execute marketing campaign plans and assist in creating valuable content for all platforms and customers. Provide information to the graphics team to ensure consistent brand messaging and accurate content across all platforms.
  3. Follow standard operating procedures and process maps regarding product changes, new product development, product testing, marketing, while also providing suggestions for continuous improvements.
  4. Coordinate and implement the sales and marketing plans for specific projects to maximize sales, profit, and market share.
  5. Project manage product launches, product changes, line reviews, and promotional campaigns to drive revenue while maintaining and executing on timelines and budgets for sales volumes and profit levels.
  6. Work cross functionally with engineering and design teams to complete projects according to deadlines.
  7. Assist the LATAM Marketing Manager, Country Managing Directors, Country Sales Managers by assisting in the planning and implementation of long-term goals.
  1. Maintain the product lifecycle and aged inventory status.
  1. Follow pricing models and review product pricing to understand how to drive division profits and ensure profit goals are met.
  2. Travels to trade shows, events, and customers as needed. Attend and learn from a minimum of one yearly trade shows and related events as well as additional product testing and or ride-alongs
  3. Provide monthly sales updates on new product introductions and NPD efforts. Give recommendations to sales team and customers for removing/adding products (Wahl or otherwise) based on data as well as financial estimates to justify recommendations.
  4. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business management.
  • 3-5 years of experience in product management or a similar role such as marketing or sales.
  • Must have excellent personal skills to manage and coordinate multiple needs of organization with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish and or Portuguese.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently using time management skills to handle a variety of duties.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to customer meetings, line reviews, store shops and trade shows or events.
