Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a Product Lifecycle Coordinator at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

This is an entry-level position responsible for managing product master data through the entire product lifecycle. The Product Lifecycle Coordinator must comprehend the end-to-end product lifecycle process to provide quality data inputs within the ERP system. This role coordinates the timing of product changes to establish flow that supports quality, delivery, and inventory objectives. The PLC also provides cross functional support through system guidance and training to achieve accurate and timely product changes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Develop basic process knowledge of Operations to understand critical inputs and management in D365 to achieve quality signals for the Material Planning and Manufacturing teams.
  2. Create product bill of materials for all products through the D365 Case Workflow process. Ensures integrity by verifying information and identifying pending modification conflicts.
  3. Manage effectivity dates by establishing a routine data analysis cadence. Ensure bill of materials and routes are adjusted accordingly.
  4. Establish item numbers for all products within D365. Ensures adherence to established master data policies including item description, product category, item type and product lifecycle state. Provides cross functional guidance on new item creation guardrails.
  5. Key cross functional team member in product changes. Verify information integrity and ensure accountability for upstream activities in the process map.
  6. Responsible for all barcodes (UPC, EAN, SCC/DUN, Inc.) within the ERP system and GTIN website. Owns creating and maintaining standard work to ensure label data accuracy.
  7. Manages all mold insert data changes in proper database to support compliance needs.
  8. Support the processes that enable D365 capabilities including case workflow, product attributes, product lifecycle states and item descriptions. Coordinate requested changes and propose updates to the standard work. Responsible to gain cross functional approval and the implementation of the change, including updating work instructions.
  9. Advocate for the product master data standard work and educate cross functional departments accordingly. Aid in system navigation training for cross functional team members to gain autonomy within D365.
  10. Approve NPD created BOM or Formulas and partner with NPD PDM for accuracy.
  11. Critical resource for quarterly D365 version upgrade testing to ensure compatibility in the ERP system.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Advanced PC user- Must be able to use Windows based applications (Dynamics 365 experience preferred)
  • High degree of professionalism in dealing with a diverse group of people
  • Understanding of manufacturing end to end processes
  • Must understand and embrace the Wahl values and culture
  • BS in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field of study preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain or similar function
