This position is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all payroll administrative and reporting activities, including processing Kronos timekeeping for labor, time & attendance, and salary pay groups along with running the weekly payroll and various other processes pertaining to payroll. The Payroll Manager reports directly to the Chief Accounting Officer. This position has one direct report, Payroll Administrator.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Preparation and administration of the weekly and special payrolls and related reports.
• Maintain/update employee master list and reference screens.
• Track probationary period and skills matrix evaluations to ensure timely wage classification rate increases.
• Maintain payroll deduction files.
• Run various Kronos attendance reports.
• Report and administer rate increases.
• Ensure the integrity of the perfect attendance policy by properly tracking absences and paying out perfect attendance points.
• Administer hourly vacation tracking and payout.
• Participate in new labor and payroll system development and continuous business process improvement.
• Keep up to date with Kronos and the addition, changes and updates required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Accounting Officer principally, along with the CFO and others.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
• Certification in Payroll Administration
• Three to five years of hands-on payroll administration experience (manufacturing environment preferred)
• Must have experience with UKG Kronos payroll system and Microsoft Office software
• Highly motivated, self-starter, and detail-oriented
• Good interpersonal skills and team player willing to help find solutions to business problems
• Incumbent must be sensitive to the confidential nature of payroll administration
• Ensure numerous deadlines are met on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Stay abreast of federal and state payroll laws and regulations
