Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Sales Service Coordinator to join our Consumer Administration team at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

This position is responsible for Customer Service activities from customer set up through payment of order invoices. The Sales Service Coordinator collaborates with other sales personnel, as well shipping, finance, sourcing, planning and demand management personnel to ensure that objectives for customer service are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Partners closely with employees in the Human Resources department, Cell Leaders and other members of management in regard to wages/salaries, wage deductions such as garnishments/child support orders and issues in regard to absenteeism.
  2. Meets multiple deadlines, in regard to payroll administration on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and must stay abreast of state and federal laws in regard to processing of compensation, such as wage deductions/garnishments, overtime eligibility, rounding, etc.
  3. Maintains thorough understanding of company policies / wage classification system that effects payroll administration.
  4. Corrects labor reports, time and attendance reports and skills matrix evaluations for wage classification increases.
  5. Ensures receipt of correct information from supervisorsto be able to run the weekly payroll and to ensure wage are paid correctly.
  6. Prepares the weekly payroll and numerous related reports. Runs special payroll checks as requested by the Financial Accounting Manager, enters gross payroll disbursement amount to Accounts Payable, calculates, deducts and remits wage assignments according to governmental regulations.
  7. Enters and maintains the employee master records related to pay and deductions.
  8. Keeps a record of employees off work on various types of leaves of absence, maintains monthly and year-to-date attendance reports and processes daily time and attendance reports.
  9. Communicates internally with manufacturing value stream management/ supervisors, human resources personnel and other members of the accounting department. External contacts are representatives of governmental agencies, bank personnel and legal representatives of wage deductions/garnishments.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Certification in Payroll Administration, or willing to obtain
  • 2-3 years of payroll or accounting experience required
  • Must have the highest level of confidentiality. This position requires daily interaction with personal and sensitive information. It is critical that no personal or pay data is shared with others.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft computer applications, have strong keyboarding and 10 key calculator skills.
  • Must be willing to learn UKG Payroll, and other software/internet sites necessary for the duties of this position.
  • Must have effective communication and customer service skills, be detail oriented and have a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and be capable of working with a large volume of confidential information.
  • Must have a strong understanding of how to store sensitive data. Sensitive data should never leave the premises of Wahl Sterling.
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Must be willing to work holiday weeks. Vacation requests will not be approved during holiday weeks to ensure the successful processing of payroll.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be willing to work onsite up to 5 days a week.
