Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Lab Technician in Sterling, Illinois.

The Packaging Lab Technician plays a pivotal role in our organization's commitment to delivering high-quality packaging solutions. The primary purpose of this role is to run and maintain laboratory equipment, accurately record packaging specifications, conduct quality assurance testing following ISTA and ASTM procedures, and craft packaging samples to meet customer demands. The Packaging Lab Technician contributes to the development, assessment, and improvement of packaging products, ensuring they meet or exceed industry standards while meeting the specific needs of valued customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferred associate degree in a technical background such as packaging, material science, or a related field or a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Prior experience in a packaging laboratory setting, with knowledge of ISTA and ASTM testing procedures is preferred.
• Knowledge of Printing equipment and processes
• Demonstrated ability to create prototype packaging solutions
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to Lift and carry large sheets of material weighing 20 pounds with occasional lifts of 50 pounds.
