OEM Quality Manager

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a licensed US Customs Broker to fill the role of OEM Quality Manager at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining a Quality Management System (QMS) capable of supporting all general certifications required for Class I Medical Devices, compliance initiatives as governed by ISO 13485 & FDA 21 CFR 820 and regional certifications supporting global distribution of OEM products. The OEM Quality Manager reports to the OEM Value Stream Manager and has 3 direct reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Schedules and facilitates annual Management Review.
• Responsible for communication & review of all activities associated with FDA compliance & annual certifications to ensure awareness of applicable regulatory and quality management requirements throughout organization. (std. ISO 13485:2016)
• Works with Wahl personnel, the customer, and certified regulatory bodies to ensure compliance to ISO 60601, EN14971, EN62368 & EU MDR requirements.
• Ensures processes required of the Quality Management System (QMS) are properly documented.
• Responsibility to administrate and track all corrective & preventative actions as well as NCP activities in QMS Software System (QT9).
• Review and interpret 3rd Party Registration Body & Internal Audit results; identify nonconformities and issue CAR / PAR accordingly.
• Ensure suppliers are properly vetted, approved prior to use, and continuously monitored for conformance to all applicable regulatory requirements. This includes maintenance of supplier ISO certifications and performance; OTD (On-Time Delivery) / Nonconformance History / CAPA Activities & Responsiveness.
• Provide overarching support of continuous improvement activities as related to voice of the customer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality related field of study required or 5 to 10 years' experience in a highly regulated industry governed by Global regulatory & Quality Management Systems in accordance with QS, TS, ISO, or FDA
• Must possess basic math skills, good attendance, ability to work in a team environment and the ability to follow established work rules and safety procedures.
• 3-D modeling/CAD experience
• Problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Must be able to sit, stand and reach for extended periods of time and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
