National Account Manager

Wahl Clipper, the number one brand of consumer and professional hair products, is searching for a sales leader to continue our multi-year trend of double-digit growth in our Consumer Division. Wahl Clipper continues to expand around the world with our products being sold in 165 countries and manufactured in our own factories spread across four continents.

The National Account Manager NE will report to Director of Sales North America Consumer Sales. If you have an established track record of success and are looking for a high-profile position in a very successful consumer products company, we have a unique opportunity that we are anxious to fill.

National Account Manager NE Responsible for Customer base in the NE and management of Reps in the assigned area. Key duties for NE NAM include Sales Communication, Sales Delivery, Account Management and Operations Planning (forecasting, sales planning, customer trade fund planning and management). NE NAM will drive the selling process including planning line reviews, building sales presentations, driving the direction of the customer line review support internally.

The successful Sales Manager will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Reside in the New York metropolitan area; tri-state area
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Results Oriented highly collaborative team player
  • Minimum 5 years' sales leadership with experience in consumer-packaged goods.
  • Must have experience calling on National Retailers.
  • Experience and established relationships with mass, drug, or specialty retailers are highly desired.
  • Successful experience managing Independent Rep. organizations a plus.
  • Have a proven track record in Fact Based Selling (analyzing data, developing story, presenting and implementing strategies) that have created demand and maximized sales while maintaining profit margins.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the use of Power point, excel, and micro-soft word.
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork and continuous improvement. 
  • Approximately 40% travel, varies based on successful candidates' home location.
