Marketing Product Coordinator, Professional - Hybrid Position

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Marketing Product Coordinator at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Marketing Product Coordinator assists in the coordination, and implementation of various marketing projects including, but not limited to, trade show planning, POS analysis, costing, obsolete disposition, refurbished disposition, market research, and digital product updates. This position exemplifies the "Wahl Way" through cross-functional collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and thinking systemically. Reports directly to the Professional Sr. Product Manager and indirectly to Professional Department Product Managers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Works to meet multiple goals and deadlines in regard to developing product, coordinating and maintaining records, analyzing data, market research, assisting with timely development of sales promotion literature, assisting in gathering samples for sales as well as tradeshows and works with the others to make sure the layout is efficient and effective.
  • Maintains the BOM for change and obsolete product. Follow up with scrap cases, when necessary and makes sure that unique components are used to the fullest to lessen scrap costs, when applicable.
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding product costing/pricing in communication with customers and potential customers.
  • Manages and updates Salsify on a consistent and timely basis to ensure Product information is current and readily available for all Wahl Professional employees. Maintains and updates Global Salsify for new production introductions on a monthly basis and works with the PM team with this endeavor.
  • Reviews monthly and coordinates updates of copy and graphics to Salsify.
  • Expedites packaging development tasks and does preparation and tear down work for sales meetings.
  • Works on special projects as assigned by their supervisor and other Sr. Managers in the organization.
  • Organizes market research and samples for field research and focus groups. This position conducts competitor market research on pricing and new product introductions.
  • Manages and updates all product instruction booklets, compliance standards, patents and artwork verification for Wahl's current portfolio and new products, in conjunction with Product Managers and Graphics teams.
  • Detail oriented

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing or related field
  • 1-3 years' related experience required; preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Proven communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and be a self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize and organize, strong time management skills
  • Ability to model the "Wahl Way"
