Manufacturing Planner

This position is responsible for understanding customer service levels and determining the inventory strategies and manufacturing production quantities needed to meet our customer needs.  The Manufacturing Planner reports directly to the Manufacturing Planning Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Build inventory strategies to achieve customer on-time delivery and inventory turn targets
• Analyze historical and forecasted demand signals and interact with Sales & Marketing to understand customer service levels
• Support Manufacturing Operations by developing strategic level load production plans by analyzing demand signals and understanding the product portfolio
• Partner with Sales & Marketing, New Product Development and Manufacturing Operations to support new item launches
• Analyze cancelled customer orders to plan additional manufacturing production quantities to support customer needs
• Partner with Demand Planning and Sales & Marketing to understand upcoming product promotions and plan manufacturing production quantities to support customer expectations
• Understand product material changes and support Sales & Marketing with effective inventory transition strategies
• Support manufacturing scheduling by adjusting dates to planned production orders due to unforeseen issues
• Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or related field of study required
• 3 5 years of Manufacturing Planning experience
• Strong communication, presentation, persuasion and negotiation skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong foundation in inventory management concepts
• Excellent software skills emphasis on Microsoft Office (Excel), Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI, enterprise systems
• Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork and continuous improvement
