Maintenance Electrician and Machine Repair

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an entry level Sales Service Coordinator to join our Consumer Administration team at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

This position is responsible for Customer Service activities from customer set up through payment of order invoices. The Sales Service Coordinator collaborates with other sales personnel, as well shipping, finance, sourcing, planning and demand management personnel to ensure that objectives for customer service are met.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform routine maintenance work on plant equipment including plastics processing equipment of all types, machine tools, punch presses, drill presses, grinders, pumps. Also maintain and install all conduit, piping, fittings, valves, gages, traps and all types of controls for high and low pressure hydraulic systems and steam/air lines. Lubricate machines and performs other plant maintenance as required. Use of welding equipment, mechanical, machine and power tools as well as electrical testing equipment, will be necessary for routine maintenance and repairs.
2. Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical trouble. Install, repair and adjust a variety of electrical equipment such as motors, lighting circuits, power line fixtures, switches and controls.
3. Inform General Foreman and/or Leadperson of the status of maintenance activities and perform other work as assigned, such as snow removal., under minimum supervision.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

High school education or equivalent. Basic math and machine trade courses (ex. electrical, welding, mechanical, etc.). Ability to use welding equipment, mechanical tools, machine tools, power tools and electrical testing equipment. Must have completed all requirements form Maint. Elec. & Machine Repair II.
