Internship Summer 2022 - Marketing Communications

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Marketing Communications Intern within our Professional Animal department at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with social media creation, specifically reels, TikTok, and Instagram stories
• Seek user-generated content that fits the Wahl Animal Brand aesthetic to feature on social media
• Help find new media outlets for social media collaborations and PR
• Support tradeshow marketing needs and logistics and pre- and post-event coordination
• Contribute to FAQ and website updates, auditing backlinks and quality of FAQ; suggest new links and FAQs as necessary
• Learn SEMrush tools to produce SEO friendly articles for blog and sponsored content needs
• Attend photoshoot(s) for Wahl Animal products, providing content and design ideas
• Support marketing needs for an in-person or online educational event with Elite Educators for brand loyalists to attend
• Assist with miscellaneous tasks relating to digital marketing, PR, event coordination and product

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Current undergraduate student or recently graduated from an accredited university
• Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related major preferred
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Proven problem solving and analytical abilities
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects
• Ability to integrate and work within a highly collaborative and diverse group of individuals
• Ability to model the company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement
