Internship Summer 2022 - CMF Design Engineering

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of CMF Design Engineering Intern at our offices in Sterling, Illinois.

The CMF Design Engineering Intern's role will be to focus on the identification, development and implementation of color, materials and finishes by harnessing technological trends, material innovations, and new manufacturing processes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create database of information for Wahl employees to utilize for new product development use
• Research innovative new colors, materials, and finishes and present findings to NPD
• Create simple visual of existing manufacturing processes
• Other projects as assigned by supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Current undergraduate or recent graduate
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering or industrial design
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Problem solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to integrate and work within a highly collaborative and diverse group of individuals
• Proficiency using Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, Excel
• Strong Organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple ongoing projects
