International Product Manager

The International Product Manager works to maximize the company's market share and category position through product assortments that meet local market needs, as well as through the sharing of global best practices.  The Sterling International division overall supports the regional growth of Wahl outside of North America, with territories at varying degrees of development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Serves as the subject matter expert for the Consumer Trimmer category.
• Identifies opportunities to expand brand and product category presence to ensure Wahl offers the best assortment for local market needs.
• Develops, coordinates and executes sales & marketing plans for specific products to maximize sales, profit and market share.
• Champions product development for assigned categories.
• Interfaces with manufacturers in a variety of capacities such as pricing, volume planning, market customization, packaging or quality issues.
• Manages product lifecycle needs such as sku rationalization, packaging refreshes, etc.
• Develops local market packaging & support materials that comply with Wahl brand identity.
• Cultivates relationships with subsidiaries to support company initiatives.
• Highly effective at leading cross-functional teams and driving projects.
• Must be very comfortable with multi-tasking due to the broad nature of the markets we support and the depth of the product lines.
• Strong capabilities to think strategically relative to market development; yet also have an effective and efficient manner to deal with day-to-day tactical needs of the business.
• Travel: 10-15%, including local market visits, trade shows and vendor visits.  
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant discipline, MBA a plus
• 5+ years of experience in related fields of traditional product management; durable goods a plus
• Exposure in a multi-national business environment or international business experience a plus
• Computer skills: Microsoft office, with strong Excel and Power Point skills, AS400 experience a plus
• Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork and continuous improvement
