IT Network Security Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

This position assigns security roles, duties, and privileges to employees in the D365 ERP System and ensure the company is up to business standards for IT network security.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

The Network Security Engineer reports directly to the Network Manager. There are no direct reports to this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assigns Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) ERP System security roles. Ensure that D365 security roles assigned to each employee grants proper access of data, which match job descriptions and expectations.

1. Sets custom security roles in Microsoft Dynamics 365. Working in the Security Configuration module of the system, Roles, Duties, and Privileges will be set to support specific business needs.

1. Assist with Microsoft licensing for D365 ERP, Operating Systems, and Microsoft software. (Microsoft Enterprise Agreements)

1. Researches, designs, and implements information security solutions for organization systems and products that comply with all applicable security policies and standards

1. Works with IT and internal and external business partners to ensure that security is factored in the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration process of hardware and software

1. Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve network, system, and application security.

1. Examines network, server, and application logs to determine trends and identify security incidents

1. Assists in the review and update of information security policies, architectures, and standards.

1. Author and publish global security standards for Wahls digital ecosystem.

1. Assists in responding to audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments

1. Design and implement a global standard of IT Security for global Wahl locations

1. Acts as a project manager for IT projects.

1. Performs other duties as assigned.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Assigns security roles, duties, and privileges to employees in the D365 ERP System and ensure the company is up to business standards for IT network security.

1. Work closely with HR and managers to ensure employees have the appropriate access to perform their job in the D365 ERP System.

1. Responsible for proper security configuration of the network.

1. Maintains accurate documentation

1. Performs penetration tests and security audits to ensure security specifications are met.

1. Performs other work as assigned by the Network Manager and IT Director.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BS or MA in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience in ERP security roles, Dynamics 365 or Dynamics AX 2012 preferable.
• 3+ years of experience in information security.
