Human Resources Generalist

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Human Resources Generalist at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Human Resources Generalist supports the Sterling facility and the Human Resources team reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner. This role requires the utmost professionalism involving confidential and sensitive personnel matters. There are no direct reports to this position.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provide HR support for Sterling Operations
• Serves as HR business partner with leadership teams to develop and execute initiatives that drive business strategies
• Facilitate process between employees and leadership to discuss and resolve performance and conduct issues
• Effectively support employee relations and encourage engagement
• Ensure Company procedures and policies are consistently and appropriately applied
• Support staffing and performance review plans that provide a well-trained and developed workforce
• Leads projects for HR initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork and continuous improvement
• Bachelor's Degree in human resources or business field preferred or relevant experience required
• Minimum 2 years' HR Generalist experience required, manufacturing environment a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Effectively interact with persons of all organizational levels
• Must be proactive in nature with strong analytical and follow-up skills
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Above average organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be flexible to handle interruptions is key
