JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist 2nd Shift supports the Sterling facility and the Human Resources team reporting to the HR Business Partner. This role requires the utmost professionalism involving confidential and sensitive personnel matters. This position reports to the HR Business Partner. There are no direct reports to this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides Human Resources support for the overall Sterling Operation serving as link between management and employees.
  2. Serves as a HR business partner with leadership teams to develop and execute initiatives that drive business and organizational strategies.
  3. Facilitates the process between employees and management to discuss and resolve performance and conduct issues.
  4. Ensures that the company procedures and policies are consistently and appropriately applied.
  5. Support staffing plans that provide a well-trained and developed workforce.
  6. Participates and/or lead projects for HR team.
  7. Utilizes expertise in one or more areas such as training, recruiting, project management or compensation/benefits to assist other HR team members.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Provide HR support for Sterling Operations
  2. Serves as HR business partner with leadership teams to develop and execute initiatives that drive business strategies
  3. Facilitate process between employees and leadership to discuss and resolve performance and conduct issues
  4. Effectively support employee relations and encourage engagement
  5. Ensure Company procedures and policies are consistently and appropriately applied
  6. Support staffing & performance review plans that provide a well-trained and developed workforce
  7. Leads projects for HR initiatives
  8. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or business field preferred or relevant experience required
  • Minimum 2 years' HR Generalist experience required, manufacturing environment a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effectively interact with persons of all organizational levels
  • Must be proactive in nature with strong analytical and follow-up skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Above average organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and be flexible to handle interruptions is key
