Global Sourcing Analyst

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Global Sourcing Analyst at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Global Sourcing Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining and distributing key reports to sourcing leadership while actively supporting Global sourcing initiatives that include, but not limited to total cost modeling, supplier portal development, global spend database development, global sourcing process & document standardization, project status and supplier value-add reporting.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• The global sourcing analyst will collaborate closely with Wahl global sites to develop and maintain a global supplier and spend data base for raw materials and purchased finished goods.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data to provide accurate global sourcing reports and visuals that will include global commodity market trends, supplier value-add activity, risk mitigation projects, spend segmentation and budget guidance.
• This position will help develop standardized processes and templates in support of global sourcing continuous improvement initiatives, and that will help ensure transparency and alignment for Wahl global sourcing.
• Works with Global Sourcing Director to coordinate details and content for on-site global sourcing team meetings.
• Will participate in the new 365 ERP system implementation as needed. Will play an important role in developing a supplier portal and report card system that aligns with the long term "quality at the source" and end to end supplier value strategy.
• This position will support global supplier compliance tracking and global in-year cost savings progress in collaboration with the finance and compliance departments.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Gathers, analyzes, and interprets data to ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Provides timely, fact-based analytics to assist sourcing leadership in making informed strategic decisions, that will help drive results and ensure there is sustained value provided by the global sourcing team.
• Works cross-functionally internally and with global subsidiaries to ensure we are "One Wahl". Thinks systemically to ensure end-to-end business strategy alignment.
• Uses an innovative mind-set to continuously improve

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Finance or related field
• 3-5 years relevant experience in supply/procurement analytics in the CPG industry
• Sourcing/procurement background (AX or D365 system experience a plus)
• Strong analytical, mathematical skills with excellent written/verbal communication skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office application experience
• Must have a positive attitude and the ability to manage change where needed
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Must be detailed oriented, self-starting and be able to work independently
• Sound judgement, diplomacy and professional demeanor
• Willingness to learn and the desire for increasing responsibility and potential career growth
