Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting growth opportunity for a Global Product Coordinator at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Global Product Coordinator assists in the administration, coordination, and implementation of various marketing projects including, but not limited to, new product development, market research, product evaluations, product quality, costing, SKU rationalization, obsolete disposition, inventory reduction, competitor analysis, new product set-up, and Product Request Forms to maximize professional sales, profit, and market share of assigned product categories. This role is entry level to a professional career progression in product management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist Global Product Managers with new product development and changes to current professional SKUs.
  1. Work directly with the global and subsidiary Product Management, Sales, and Operations teams to drive new item set-up (i.e. D365 cases) & Product Request Form (PRF) processes.
  1. Work with global and subsidiary Product Management to identify sku reduction and inventory reduction opportunities. Manage lists and documents as required. Coordinate with Manufacturing and Demand Planning on obsolete component usage.
  1. This position is responsible for updating, reviewing, and ensuring accuracy of product specifications, marketing collateral (online and offline), and price lists.
  1. Analyze, update, and report on market data utilizing tools such as comp shops, global price monitoring, Nielsen data, field research, surveys, and product testing, to assist in creating action plans to drive new product development, grow market share, and ensure global pricing parity.
  1. Work closely with global Product Management to execute product testing. Maintain and execute a standard product testing process. Coordinate test groups and products for soliciting feedback. Organize test data and distribute analytical reports/findings. Make improvement suggestions for future product testing.
  1. Responsible for recommending and assisting in the planning and implementation of long-term strategies to meet new product development, sales and profit margin, and market share goals.
  1. Monitor social media, reviews, and repair data; report out on trends and make product improvement recommendations.
  1. Assist in cost reduction initiatives and quality issue resolution.
  1. Competitive landscape maintenance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or Associates Degree with equivalent experience in a marketing or business related field
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Willingness to continually learn new skills and take on new challenges
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent planning, organizational and attention to detail skills required
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement
  • Light physical demand
  • Ability to travel to trade shows, customers, and business meetings as necessary (< 10%)
