Global Director of New Product Development
JOB DUTIES:
Provide leadership to the NPD team that allows for their success through a clear vision, coaching and mentoring; ensure team members develop critical skills and identify growth opportunities that support their career goals; global coordination and oversight of strategic NPD projects across development sites in the US, Europe, and China; this role identifies and resolves situations to ensure full alignment through the strategic prioritization of projects; high-level management of new product projects including reconciling projects to resources, ensuring the appropriate resources are available (internal or external) and collaborating cross-functionally to bring effective outcomes; collaborate with R&D and product management to ensure innovative ideas are utilized in new products; ensure products are developed that provide required quality specifications when put into production to include participating in vendor selection and component parts; champions the continual improvement of the new product development process and ensures processes are followed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology. 10 years engineering experience with new product development and testing of electro-mechanical products. 5 years experience engineering management roles in fast-growing product development environments.
RATE OF PAY:
$190,000-195,000 per year
WORK CONDITIONS:
Full time, 40 hours per week
