Global Director of Applications, BI, and Analytics - Remote

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an opportunity for a Director of Applications, BI and Analytics.

Leads enterprise wide/global Business Intelligence technology and strategy used to enable all business processes. Manages Business Intelligence and analytics platforms and toolsets with strong emphasis on the successful delivery of the One Wahl Way. Ensures all interdependencies between functions and systems are honored in considering change or enhancement requests. Proactively and systematically performs needs assessment and works with business process owners for projects or enhancement and improvement opportunities. Responsible for enterprise wide data, includes governance, quality and management. The Director of Applications, BI & Analytics reports directly to the Chief Information Officer. There are 4 -5 direct reports to this position.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Lead system process and change initiatives for the business process improvement projects that meet the needs of internal customers.
2. Develop a technology roadmap to deliver the One Wahl Way.
3. Ensures all project work is aligned with both business and IT performance goals and strategy objectives.
4. Specifically ensures time and resources are made available to evaluate and assess emerging technologies.
5. Responsible for staff performance appraisal and development plans.
6. Ensures system changes are adequately tested and stabilized before release to production.
7. Ensures all IT staff applies proper project management discipline and methodology for project engagements.
8. Participating member of IT leadership team and as such leads in proactively advising not eh technical perspective and integrating the business perspective into the IT work plan.
9. Partner with business leadership to devise a business systems and applications strategy and devise a framework for governance.
10. Maintains open communication with other teams and planning committees to assure efficient processes are implemented and to coordinate projects with overlapping responsibilities.
11. Prepare the organization to adopt and take responsibility for their ERP system.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years in BI or related field
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Data Modeling and Data Management
• Leads and directs the work of a department
• Directs the work of groups of employees.
• Medium size to large budget accountability.
• Full personnel decision making responsibility.
• Involved in strategic and long term planning for the department.
• Regularly makes decisions that have an impact on the division or entire organization.
• Fully compete tent in function and advanced knowledge outside of function.
• Independent judgment fully exercised. Handles most complex analysis, reporting, etc. Tasks are strategic in nature.
• Develops policies and procedures for subordinates.
• Implements development strategies for the entire team.
