Global Compensation Manager - Remote Position

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Global Compensation Manager.

The Global Compensation Manager is responsible for carrying out the One-Wahl compensation philosophy and work with leaders across the globe to ensure competitive total compensation is offered to our workforce. Designs and implements compensation standards and pay practices that allow Wahl to attract and retain qualified talent. This position reports to Global Vice President of Human Resources, while providing compensation intelligence to leaders and regional human resources business partners (HRBP's) in every continent. The Global Compensation Analyst role reports into this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Designs and reviews pay structures to gain harmonization and global alignment to the job architecture in multiple job markets.
  • Partners with business leaders and HRBP's to identify career paths, functions, and sub-functions, levels and calibrate against a global job catalog mapped to survey results.
  • Lead the design, delivery, and support of compensation related initiatives such as a global management incentive plan, local (wide scope) incentive plan reviews and sales incentive plans.
  • Partners with global business leaders and HRBPs to complete the annual compensation review cycle and serves as advisor during the process. Compiles leaders' recommendations globally to run analytics of financial impact from merit increase, market adjustment, and bonus allocations, and supports recommendations on behalf of the organization to executives for approval.
  • Conducts comprehensive compensation analysis based on market benchmarks, internal equity, compensation philosophy, and market conditions.
  • Recommends and advises HRBP's and business leaders on competitive salaries for vacant positions, in job evaluations, and organizational re-structuring.
  • Reviews job descriptions and recommends changes for compliance with appropriate laws and global standardization initiatives.
  • Oversee the participation in global salary surveys done by the Compensation Analyst.
  • Provides leadership, guidance, training and support to a Compensation Analyst role.
  • Maintains accurate records in CompRight, a compensation module; BetterComp, a job pricing tool, etc.
  • Provides ongoing compensation training and guidance to leaders across the organization.
  • Keeps abreast of trends and best practices in the compensation field.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or equivalent preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in compensation required, preferable in a global setting.
  • Knowledge of US federal and state regulations, and global pay practices.
  • Strong ability to process large data sets in Excel with high levels of accuracy and reliability.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data, and communicate compensation concepts and proposals in a concise simple manner.
  • High level of computer aptitude with Microsoft suite, particularly advanced in Excel; working experience pulling reports from HRIS databases.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels in the organization
  • Self-starter with the ability to make decisions that are in alignment with the overall company strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment required
  • Willingness to learn keeping abreast of talent trends in the market

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
