Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced EHS Manager at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The EHS Manager provides Environmental Health & Safety leadership to the Operations team in Sterling, IL. The EHS Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local environmental regulations as well as prepare and submit reports to these agencies. This role will drive a culture of safety that promotes best practices regarding employee safety and environmental affairs and provides training as needed to employees on subjects related to health, safety and the environment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Maintain and implement safety programs, policies and procedures.
2. Interpret federal, state and local environmental, safety and health regulations to establish compliance requirements and methods of measurement that enable monitoring of each EHS program.
3. Lead the employee safety committee and collaborate with leaders at all levels to drive a culture focused on safety.
4. Schedule, conduct, and document safety and environmental training and testing to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies.
5. Manage accident investigations and determinations of root cause analysis and follow up to ensure appropriate corrective actions.
6. Manage environmental reporting records as well as submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
7. Lead the Wahl Operating System Safety Pillar
8. Assist operations in the review of equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
9. Ensure Wahl maintains ISO 14001 certification.
10. Help obtain and maintain ISO 45001 certification.
11. Perform other duties assigned as necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years experience with safety and environmental affairs in a manufacturing environment
• Proven leadership skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence
• Ability to analyze and problem solve utilizing problem solving techniques
• Ability to collaborate effectively and facilitate a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate programs and meet deadlines
