Electronics Engineer

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team.

The Electronics Engineer is responsible for selection, design, and development of electro-mechanical, and control systems for existing and future product categories. It is the responsibility of this person to carry out all necessary R and D work associated with the selection, design and integration, together with all relevant documentation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Keep up to date on relevant technology developments and recommend how to leverage them.
• Apply scientific principles in the selection and optimization of the performance of the integrated electromechanical sub assembly based on above trends and customer needs.
• Participate in ideation, product and process development needs.
• Use best practices to document all experimental work.
• Plan and manage activities to meet the target milestones in a timely manner.
• Support NPD and Manufacturing as needed.
• Other activities that are needed to support the team and the business.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BS/MS/PhD with a specialization in Electrical or Electronics
• Experience with electronic and electromechanical component design
• PCB design and layout
• Programming Experience
• Good communication skills with peers and leadership
• Strong bias for action tempered with logical problem solving ability
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

SPECIFIC SKILLS DESIRED:

• Experience with designing electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience with designing circuits and test systems.
• Experience with translating concepts into prototypes and products.
• Networked into the electrical/electronics community
• Strong analytical skills with a mindset to learn
