Director of Sales - Remote Position

The Director of Sales is a key strategic leader within Wahl's largest division reporting to the Divsional Vice President of Sales. The Director develops and works with the National Account Managers (NAM) reporting to him/her to ensure the business runs smoothly and continues to grow at a high rate. The Director will also work with many cross-functional teams including Order Entry, Demand Planning, Marketing, Finance, Consumer Sales Support, Shipping, and Supply Chain to ensure the business runs smoothly. The Director is responsible for development and motivating the National Account Managers (NAM's) to ensure they achieve sales growth, profitability, analytics, and successful customer line reviews, requiring attention to detail and strong communication skills. Up to $150 Million combined business of the territories within this region

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 10+ years relevant sales experience preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of sales leadership experience in a Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience managing a sales team
  • Proven success in managing Independent Rep Organizations
  • Proven track record in Fact Based Selling (analyzing data, developing a story, presenting and implementing strategies) that have created demand and maximized sales while maintaining profit margins.
  • Proficient using market data (Nielson, IRI, etc.) for analysis of the business and decision making.
  • Must have excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and data analysis
  • Ability to work in fast paced, high energy environment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group/team setting effectively.
  • Ability to work well under stress and handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed, including occasional weekend travel for shows and events
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
