Director of Global Inventory

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Director of Global Inventory at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Director of Global Inventory is responsible for the development and implementation of global inventory strategy that support the organizational and operational objectives. The position has global responsibility and requires collaboration with other leaders to ensure "One Wahl" alignment on the global inventory to support company objectives. Position reports to the Vice President of Global Supply Chain with Inventory Analysts (2) reporting directly to this role.

• Develop a global inventory strategy to support the customer satisfaction objectives while meeting the organizations financial objectives.
• Partner with operations leaders to determine the appropriate use of inventory to meet customer satisfaction and to manage global risks and supply chain volatility.
• Provide support to the both the operations leaders and sourcing leaders to reduce end to end supply chain lead times.
• Coach, train, and partner with global resources on world class inventory management processes and practices.
• Collaborate and support global factory and distribution sites to ensure utilization of lean practices to drive continuous improvement in inventory management.
• Develop global inventory plans and ensure inventory plans incorporated into the global sales and operations planning process.
• Lead the data analytics effort to identify improvement opportunities and focus efforts to drive the appropriate improvement efforts.
• Identify talent throughout the global organization and participate in creating career development plans.
• Lead and develop talent - Coach employees to improve performance, provides and encourages challenging and stretching tasks and assignments, holds frequent development discussions, is aware of your team's individual career goals and can work across different time zones and cultures.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field
• 10 years of of related experience with at least 5 years leading a team
• Demonstrated success leading an organization through inventory improvement
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Ability to simplify the complex
• Proven success leading global team

• Estimated travel ~ 25%
