NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: DIRECTOR OF FAR EAST STRATEGIC INITIATIVES
Job Duties |
Responsible for developing, supporting, managing, and executing strategic initiatives within the Far East (FE) Territory with immediate emphasis in India. Works cross-functionally across the entire FE to analyze trends and data, make recommendations, and drive implementation of key projects at both subsidiary and territory levels. Works to facilitate alignment and cooperation from the other business functions within the organizations in support of the local territory needs or challenges (e.g., Finance, International Product Management, Compliance and Certification, Quality, HR). Duties include: support regional translation of company values, regional NPD projects, and strategic business plan; keep abreast of global trends; with FE President, determine areas of business growth; support HR in hiring, internal development and upward mobility, and on-boarding; project management for FE and alignment between multiple business functions; oversee E-Commerce business plan for FE; manage due diligence for new markets; process improvement to bridge communications gaps; review and improve existing project management processes; manage project execution to ensure progress, issue resolution, and contingency plans; identify gaps between current FE and desired future state; build "Book of Knowledge" for compliance/certification by country; oversee brand guidelines within FE; support regional IP enforcement and appropriate information sharing; ensure market research sharing and support local deployment of research; support large innovative projects to address business challenges and achieve FE goals; alignment between US departments and facilitate communication and cooperation; develop visual end-to-end reporting; support local leadership in developing business plans for new products. International travel up to 20%. |
Minimum Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in a Business or Marketing field Familiarity with Indian business culture, as demonstrated by attainment of either a U.S. Bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies or a business degree from an Indian institution Permanent U.S. work authorization
