Compensation Analyst - Hybrid Position

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Compensation Analyst.

This is an intermediate-level individual contributor role accountable for analyzing data and developing actionable recommendations for the global compensation function. The role will also administer policies and programs for base wages, salaries, and various incentive programs. As an intermediate level role, the analysis projects and administration programs will increase in complexity in order to advance to the next level.

The incumbent in this position will apply their working knowledge of global human resources and compensation theories and practices, along with demonstrated skills to analyze and solve increasingly complex business problems. The role requires demonstrated experience in managing large datasets, constructing data models, and leveraging a variety of software systems and tools to transform data into actionable business intelligence. The role requires demonstrated experience in reading a wide range of business documents to critically evaluate, interpret and apply logic and reasoning to solve business challenges. The incumbent in this role will also participate in writing clear content for analysis summaries, administration guides, and employee communications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Market Pricing - salary survey participation, labor market data analysis, cost-modeling, and developing financial recommendations to maintain competitive positioning across the globe.
  • Job Evaluations - review job and organizational design documentation to assess fit with the job leveling architecture. May involve interviewing HR Business Partners and/or business leaders to understand functional work activities and business requirements to develop recommendations for job leveling.
  • Merit Administration - configure the merit administration software, prepare data files, conduct user acceptance testing and end-user training sessions, build dashboards and summary reports, and transmit final approved data to local payroll contacts for implementation of increases.
  • Incentive Plan Administration - maintain incentive plan assignment data, retrieve payroll and financial results data needed to calculate awards, generate employee term-sheets and award statements, and provide summary data analyses of plan performance.
  • Pay Equity Analysis - conduct statistical analyses of pay data, develop financial models of impact and adjustments needed, produce executive summary reports and submit equity reports for various entities.
  • HRIS Administration, Configuration and Systems Integrations - maintain data tables, contribute to business use-case for configuration updates and enhancements, participate in systems integrations between HRIS and other systems/vendors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMETNS:

  • BA/BS in business, or equivalent knowledge of the theories and principles of business administration, operations, and management.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience of professional experience in large organizations with accountabilities for data analysis, preferably in compensation, finance, or operations.
  • Expert-level skills with Excel and Intermediate-level skills with Access and PowerBI to analyze, administer, and summarize large volumes of data.
  • Demonstrated skills related to business data analysis such as critical thinking, complex problem solving, storytelling, and a natural curiosity to understand concepts and solve complex business problems.
