Business Analyst

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and team-oriented individual to fill the role of Business Analyst at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

This position is responsible for account specific profit and loss analysis and assisting in the administration of promotional funding under the direction of the Consumer Division Business Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assures that profit analysis is accurate, verifying information from sources.
• Meets multiple deadlines and goals in regard to profit and loss analysis for presentations to customers and must be confidential in regard to pricing, profit and loss.
• Administers promotional funding by ensuring advertising program requirements and procedures are followed.  The greatest challenge is setting priorities to complete multiple tasks and insuring the accuracy of those tasks within required deadlines.
• Assists in the performance of cost analysis for profit and loss, the administration of promotional funding, and the running of forecasting.
• Processes return reports, verifies accuracy of information provided, researches discrepancies with audits, and assists the direct supervisor on reports of accruals.
• Works internally with individuals in Consumer Sales and Marketing, Sales Managers, Product Managers, Channel Managers, Consumer Sales Support, Director of North America Consumer Sales, and the Vice President of North America consumer Sales and Marketing. Externally this position is in contact with customers, independent manufacturers and sales representatives.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or other related field
• 3 years' experience working as an analyst, preferably in a manufacturing setting
• Microsoft proficiency with emphasis on Excel
• Report drafting knowledge
• Business formal communication skills
• Financial knowledge
• Self-starter
• Ability to research
