Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Business Analyst for the North America Region.

This regional role is responsible for gathering and sharing end user and market insights for North America to surface opportunities for marketing, product and sales teams. These insights will be used to inform and support strategic business decision making, product and value proposition, design (including new product development), brand positioning and strategy, and pricing. The role will work closely with product management, brand marketing, sales and the digital team providing key insights that will help others to be more effective and accelerate business growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Understands market trends, consumer patterns, and align the marketing, product management and sales teams to execute the overall strategy.
  • Analyzes regional sales and market data using various techniques - statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining.
  • Works internally and externally to be the go to person for appropriate data from numerous sources i.e. POS, secondary research, digital analytics and primary research.
  • Analyze historical sales volumes and other data for both D2C and platform to help increase service levels and improve customer experience
  • Interpret data and make appropriate recommendations by communicating and validating requirements with relevant stakeholders
  • Define, produce, and socialize key metrics, reports, dashboards and other ad hoc analyses with interpretation, contributing to the development of hypotheses and actions
  • Maximizes the potential and output of defined programs and tools working with IT for business results and decision-making reports, dashboards and visualizations to understand business performance
  • Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents
  • Identify automation opportunities

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Maintains confidentiality in regard to division and company costs and profit and customer pricing and program costs.
  • Leads with a high sense of accuracy.
  • Continuously identifying areas of improvement and provides potential solutions.
  • Ensures reports and analysis are completed in a timely manner, many deadlines due to requirement of customer "asks" as well as short notice of some customer meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-5 years related experience
  • Ability to assemble, analyze and evaluate large amounts of data and be able to make appropriate and well-reasoned recommendations and decisions to support the business stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed strategies, process improvements and operational decisions
  • Resourcefulness and ability to devise creative solutions to problems
  • Experience testing and mapping various business processes and protocols
  • Familiarity with industry technology systems to gather data and problem solve
  • Ability to identify what data the business currently has, what data need to be collected and analyzed on behalf of the business.
  • Experience working with Nielsen/NPD, Retail Link (Walmart) and Vendor Central (Amazon) is preferred
  • Ecommerce experience
  • Communication skills required to successfully execute the business analysis process
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and Visualizer tools, Power BI and Tableau a plus
  • Solid mathematical aptitude
  • Deals well with ambiguity
  • Travel up to 15% between Wahl entities
