Assistant Operations Manager

Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Assistant Operations Manager at our Global Headquarters in Sterling, Illinois.

The Assistant Operations Manager, as is the Operations Manager, is responsible for manufacturing operations and all related supporting resources required to meet product quality requirements and delivery deadlines. They will manage relationships with supporting functions as they pertain to assembly and production. They will identify & create value for the customer and strive to continuously improve processes from end-to-end. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations - NA with a dotted line to the Operations Manager. Directly reporting to this position will be designated manufacturing supervisors. Indirect reports will include cell leaders and line leads.

• BA/BS degree with emphasis in a manufacturing discipline/technical field desired
• Minimum of five years progressive experience with a lean manufacturing environment Solid manufacturing foundation with specific lean tools (5S, facilitation of Kaizen events, Value Stream mapping, etc.)
• Solid background in project management and training
• Ability to support change management.
• Ability to lead with humility and respect every individual
• Ability to embrace a culture of empowering employees, innovation and risk taking, and creating value for the customer.
