Accounting Clerk

The Accounting Clerk performs various accounts payable tasks such as invoice entry and employee expense report review and processing. Also assist with various financial, general accounting and payroll activities, along with new system development and business process improvement opportunities.

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform accounts payable activities such as review and process vendor invoices for payment, including perform three-way match of invoice to receipt and purchase order and general ledger account number assignment, as required. Also review and process employee expense reports and assist with processing disbursements and paying via ACH.
• Resolve issues on past due invoices, approvals and deductions from invoices paid, while developing and maintaining strong vendor relations.
• Perform other accounts payable tasks as assigned.
• Assist the Financial Accounting Manager and Staff Accountant with select account analysis, journal entry and other tasks in support of the financial closing and annual audit.
• Assist the Payroll Administrator with maintenance to employee master file, along with processing daily labor and time & attendance.
• Assist in performing various tasks to be defined in support of new system development and continuous business process improvement.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Financial Accounting Manager or others in the Accounting Department.

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

• Associates Degree in Accounting REQUIRED
• 1-2 years related experience preferred
• Ability to work on own; self-starter
• Familiarity/Experience with Microsoft computer applications
• Must be a team-player; willing to help find solutions to business problems
• Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
