Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for an energetic and team-oriented individual to fill the role of Office Technical Support at our headquarters in Sterling, Illinois. 

The Office Technical Support attracts potential customers by answering product, service and technical questions; suggesting information about other products and service. Process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfills customer needs to ensure satisfaction. Works with Quality Engineer and Accounting.


  • Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account information. Maintain financial accounts by processing customer adjustments. Cancel or upgrade orders.
  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution.
  • Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Manage large amounts of phone calls. Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling. Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies. Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication. Go the extra mile to engage customers.
  • Meet personal/team targets and call handling goals.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Assist with placement of orders, refunds or exchanges. Answer questions about warranties or terms of sale.  Suggest solutions when a product malfunctions.  Handle product recalls.
  • Retain customers for a lifetime.
  • Inform customers of deals and promotions. Sell product and services.
  • Work with Customer Service Manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered.
  • Close out or open call records.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bilingual is preferred but not required.
  • Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of social media and live chat.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize activities according to importance and urgency.
  • Familiar with AX, AS400, and Docuware is preferred.
  • Must have strong computer skills, strong phone contact skills and active listening.
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement
