Wahl Clipper Corporation, a global manufacturer of branded Consumer and Professional products, has an exciting opportunity for a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Marketing Project Coordinator at Wahl Clipper Corporation in Sterling, IL.

The Marketing Project Coordinator assists in the coordination, and implementation of various marketing projects including, but not limited to, trade show planning, POS analysis, costing, obsolete disposition, refurbished disposition, market research, and Product Change Notification execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Works to meet multiple goals and deadlines in regard to developing product, coordinating and maintaining records, analyzing data, market research, assisting with timely development of sales promotion literature, assisting in gathering samples for sales as well as trade-shows and works with the others to make sure the layout is efficient and effective. 
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding product costing/pricing in communication with customers and potential customers.
  • Establishes a portfolio that identifies existing components and how they may be used for potential applications with key accounts and continually analyzing market data to improve the information flow to assist the Product Managers, Sales force and Management to make appropriate strategic decisions.  The greatest challenge of this position is determining product selection for the varying demographics of customers.
  • Works closely with the Senior Product Manager to understand the needs of customers and create effective marketing strategies to meet those needs.  Assists in developing business strategies, manages the Product Change Notification process, certifies samples, reviews bill of material, instructions books and other sales promotion items. 
  • Expedites packaging development and does preparation and tear down work for sales meetings.  Reviews monthly and coordinates updates of copy and graphics to Salsify. 
  • Works on special projects as assigned by their supervisor and other Sr. Managers in the organization.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1.  Track the implementation of PRF's and PCN's (Bills of Material).
  2.  Reserves part numbers and follow through on their implementation.
  3.  Tracks packaging, samples to and from department.
  4.  Assists sales with paper work and account specific procedure tracking.
  5.  Analyzes market data as required.
  6.  Maintains monthly machine listings.
  7.  Assist with presentations, research, packaging, NPD, and certified samples.
  8.  Communicates with packaging suppliers and other 3rd party vendors.
  9.  Assists in organizing, planning and managing trade shows and sales meetings.
  10.  Reviews packaging copy, such as UPC, part numbers, spelling, etc.
  11.  Updates, reviews and ensures consistency of spec sheets, catalog sheets, competitive  market analysis, and price lists
  12. Coordinates the maintenance of close out inventory
  13. Completes special projects and other duties as assigned by supervisor to achieve corporate sales and profit objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing or related field
  • 1-3 years' related experience required; preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Proven communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and be a self-starter
  • Ability to prioritize and organize; strong time management skills
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement
