PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Designs and debugs electrical circuits.
  • Resolves electrical design problems on new and existing products.
  • Establishes manufacturing and inspection standards for electrical components and systems.
  • Works to get designs implemented into the manufacturing
  • Trains employees in the testing of electrical circuits.
  • Investigates customer complaints and recommends resolution.
  • Assists with problems on the manufacturing floor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Experience with designing electro-mechanical systems
  • Experience with designing circuits and test systems
  • Experience with translating concepts into prototypes and products
  • Experience with PCB design and layout software (E-CAD)
  • Experience with programming microcontrollers
  • Must stay abreast of technological advances within field of Engineering
  • High technical curiosity and learning mindset
  • Creative problem-solving ability
  • Ability to model the Company's values of respect for people, teamwork, and continuous improvement

PREFERRED:

  • Proficiency with programming microcontrollers in assembly or C++
  • Experience with developing, designing, testing, and debugging electronic circuits
  • Experience with operating electronic test equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, battery analyzers, and data-loggers
  • Experience with PCB design software
  • Experience designing and building graphical user interfaces (GUI) with Labview
  • Experience with batteries, motors, power supplies and electromechanical systems.
