Ensures compliance with various regulatory agencies that govern Wahl Clipper's global manufacturing operations. This position will identify, research, and stay current with all regulatory issues and assist in developing regulatory compliance strategies working closely with our global subsidiaries. 

This position reports to the Global Director of Social Responsibility & Risk Management. There are no direct reports to this position. 

Key Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures compliance with governmental regulatory requirements and corporate standards as related to security, safety, occupational health, and environmental
  • Serves as the company's in-house resource providing regulatory expertise on compliance regulations
  • Identifies and researches regulatory issues, and assist in developing compliance strategies
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders to implements practices, guidelines, and procedures that support the Company's identified strategies
  • Establishes regulatory compliance metrics, and implement corrective actions
  • Leads the implementation and/or development of environmental and occupational safety and health programs and policies designed to prevent harm to workers, property and the environment
  • Trains, educates and promotes regulatory compliance throughout the Company and with suppliers
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

The ideal person for this position has the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Science, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental, Safety and Health (EHS) or a closely related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in compliance regulations and EHS management
  • Experience with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and NFPA compliance programs including developing, maintaining and fostering positive relationships with regulators
  • General knowledge of health, safety, packaging, labeling and transportation regulations that apply to chemicals and formulated products in a Consumer setting
  • Ability to manage complex compliance issues that arise and juggle multiple priorities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to influence
